Children's Shoes Brief - Target Audience

Audience for the Children's Shoes

Age: The target age for the children's shoes advert will be both 8-14 as that is the age range specified in the brief that the shoes are aimed towards. The target audience will also be ages in generation X as they may be existing companies of the Knight-Higgs brand or parents (or even grandparents) of an 8-14 year old who might want the shoes to be bought for them. It is important to make sure the advert appeals to both of these age ranges so that not only do the children want them, the adult also think to purchase them.

Gender: The target audience in terms of gender for this advert must be all genders (male, female and non-binary) in order to make sure that the shoes sell a lot of everybody nobody who they are. Including different genders within the advert and aiming it towards a target audience that includes everybody is important to make sure everyone feels included.

Ethnic Groups: The advert will be targeted towards all ethnic groups, especially those representative of the UK population in order to make sure anybody viewing it feels included and like the products are for them. This means sales are more likely to be high as everyone will feel like the shoes are targeted towards them.

Psychographics: The audience for psychographics will be aimed towards the type of people who have interests and lifestyles that are classified as aspirer and explorers so that the shoes is presented as outgoing and adventurers - something you cant live without. This will appeal to both the target audience of the kids as they will want some shoes that are presented as amazing for exploring as well as the parents of the children as it will make them want to purchase the shoes as they create a feeling of giving the child a sense of confidence and pride.

Geodemograpics: This advert will be targeted at a general Uk audience so to avoid the north-south divide and making anyone feel excluded from the advert. It ill be high in diversity to represent all areas of the UK. However, as it is set in the city it will slightly excluded people in rural areas.

Sexual Orientation: The sexual orientation of the target audience of the advert is non-specific as the advert will include no romantic content meaning everyone feels included despite their sexuality (whether a child or parent).

Mainstream vs Niche: The target audience of the advert will be mainstream including conventional music and well-known cities in order to make sure that it appeals to a wide-range of people.

Socio-Economic: The target audience in terms of socio-economic for the children's shoes advert must be a higher middle class or upper class due to the shoes being apart of a designer brand. The advert must therefore be targeted towards this social class so that the audience are able to afford the shoes for their children.

LO3 - Be able to plan the pre-production of a media product. Types of Form Individual Release Form - Personnel working for. media production company must sign over the rights to their work as part of their contract or as a separate document. Consent Form - If there are members of the public in the location, permission from them will be needed to use their image and/or voice. This is also true when using actors. Flatplan/Wireframes

LO4 - Create and evaluate pre-production documents for a new media product. Flatplans/Wireframes A wireframe is a 2D representation showing how articles or adverts are laid out on the page and how they all fit together. This shows the designer if the proportions are correct and allows for changes to be made before the production is created. Flatplans can also be used to show the layout of a set for a TV production to check that camera movements can be carried out. Examples of Flatplans
