KNIGHT-HIGGS CHILDREN’S SHOE ADVERT
SCENE THREE
EXT. ON TOP OF BUILDING AT NIGHT OVERLOOKING MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE.
4 CHILDREN, 3 WEARING THE NEW SHOES LOOKING AT ALL OF THE NEON AND CITY LIGHTS.
CHILD ONE:
(excitedly looking at shoes)
[close-up angle on the shoes before panning up towards the face of the child when they speak. Bright light from a downwards angle to reflect on the shoes. Split screen for ‘look how they change colour’ showing the change of colour.]
These are the coolest shoes ever! Look how they change colour in the night!
CHILD TWO:
[over the shoulder angles from the back of child one, costume in colours matching the shoes, light changing from orange to purple in the background. enhancing special effects on the flash. More dramatic music begins, fast pace.]
Mine have gone purple! And they flash!
CHILD THREE:
[zoom in on shoes with a sudden change of lighting to cool blue tones from the city's neon lights.]
Let’s be honest, mine are the best ones here.
CHILD FOUR:
(sadly)
[sad soundtrack begins as the camera pans down towards old, worn down, unbranded black shoes.]
I don’t even have any...
CHILD ONE:
[lighting begins to become warmer and pinker as music speeds up again and the city begins to light up more in the background.]
Wait a minute... what is that over there?
CHILD THREE:
[long shot of the whole group standing in a semicircle and looking. Light begins to come onto the face brighter and brighter magenta.]
What are you on about?
CHILD ONE:
(pointing)
[close-up zoom in of a box with magenta light coming out of it and special effects sparkles and smoke coming from it.]
That box over there. With the stripes.
CHILD FOUR:
(walks over to the box, picks it up and brings it back over to the other friends before opening to reveal another colour of shoe)
[smoke comes out of the shoes, camera dolly zooms to add emphasis onto the shoes. Lighting begins to get more yellow and the child suddenly costume changes in order to match the colour of the limited edition shoes.]
WOW! Another colour!
