Writing a pitch

After researching the cost of creating the advert for Knights-Higgs shoes, our team have decided that an extra £1400 will be needed on top of the original budget in order to create an attractive advertisement to make the new children's shoes have massive sales. Although the original budget will cover the main cost of staffing and creating the video, extra costs are necessary for making the advert stand out compared to the others people may see. The main idea for this advertisement is a advert of a group of friends walking and laughing through the city in a group to show the popular nature of the new shoe.

This extra cost is necessary as we will need £400 in order to cover the cost of child actors. This will make the advert more appealing to the age range of 8-14 and show the new shoe range on the models. We need this much money in order to hire multiple actors to present them as a group of friends which all display the new children's shoes. After research into many different adverts, products with a group of friends in overall sold 500% more than adverts with one solo actor. Therefore, this extra budget will help to boost the sales of the product and make it significantly more appealing to the age range.

We will also need this extra budget in order to fund transport into the city from our location. This will only be and extra £250 which is needed in order to fund travel of both the equipment and the actors. Filming this advert in the city and therefore showing the shoes off in the city when surrounded by many different people will show the shoes as popular and encourage people to buy them.

In order to create an attractive and HD advert which will accurately show the bright and attractive colours of the shoes along with the interesting details of the sole in great detail. An extra £500 will be needed in order to keep the high quality camera running effectively and efficiently in order to make sure the advert is produced within 5 weeks. This money will help to make sure the advert is aesthetically pleasing and make the children want to purchase the shoes. This extra budget will help to  produce shots of movement in slow-mo to make it more attractive and show the style of the shoes off.

An additional cost of £170 will be needed in order to pay for an animator. This will allow us to animate and move the logo, name and contact details of the company to make sure that people notice the brand name and recognise the designer nature of the company. This will also allow us to place edits of text or shapes over the video to show the price of the shoes and catch people's attention.

Finally, we will also need an additional maximum of £80 in order for legal costs in order to purchase rights to a popular song. After extensive research, we have found out that adverts with catchy songs or popular music sell much more products compared to those which use unknown songs or instrumental music. Therefore, in order to make the Knight-Higgs advert popular and memorable and boost the sale of the new children's shoes range, music rights for a popular song will be bought to use in the background of the 40 second advert. This song will be discovered by interviewing up to 50 children within the age range to find what song they think is the most popular. This song will therefore be used in order to make sure that people remember the advert and become more likely to purchase the new shoes.
